If you have an iPhone and received a text from another iPhone and it had some really awesome emoticons and not just the boring 
Well it just so happens Way2Hype is going to get you all fixed up… for FREE!! Below is a screenshot of some EMOJI icons.
* Gmail is supposedly starting to support Emoji. I have yet to have success. However, Emoji icons are available throught the iPhone’s OS (operating system). In non-geek talk you can use these icons anywhere the keyboard pops up i.e. Notes, Contacts. Warning once you try to sync or share data outside the iPhone’s OS the Emoji icons will probably be corrupted.
Ok so I won’t go into detail about the whole background of Emoji, here is the first part from the Wiki post to give you a basic idea:
“Emoji (絵文字?) is the Japanese term for the picture characters or emoticons used in Japanese wireless messages and webpages. Originally meaning pictograph, the word literally means e “picture” + moji “letter”. If you are interested in reading more here is the Wiki link – EMOJI
Now to the meat and potatoes of this post! Just follow the few simple steps listed below and you’ll be rocking out with your Emoji out!
First, you need to Download Emoji Free iPhone Appfrom the App Store.
Download Emoji Free iPhone App Here
Next, open the app and click Awesome, let do it button at the bottom of the screen.
Once this finishes you are only a few steps away!!
Finally, navigate to the Settings App -> General -> Keyboard -> International Keyboards -> Japanese
Move the switch to the ON position! Voila you have Emoji Icons!
To use the icons all you have to do is click on the globe to the left of the space bar and text away!
